Qs4T (boring and non-controversial!)

Posted by Mic on 12/6/2005, 23:45:31
Mr T,
So, here's the thing. If you recommend a book (or company) to me, I'll ACTUALLY LOOK IT UP!

After reading (quickly) through We Were Soldiers... a couple questions come up.

Can you actually train/teach "listening to your instincts". Does the attunement to instincts stay as strongly with you outside of the combat environment? Or are your instincts triggered by certain stimuli related to the "job"?

And there are several scenarios when a unit in distress calls for help and the responding unit says, "No. Can't help you. It would be suicidal for my own team, you're on your own." How often does this happen (%)? And what percentage of planned extractions actually happen as planned?

Have I said "thank you" before?

Thank you. :)
