Possible repercussions

Going out on a limb here. I'm guessing that the point you were trying to make is that weapons are not necessarily military and we as a country need to recognize this and plan a response. The US would not be able to justify a military response to an economic attack from China. (heck, we can hardly garner support for a military response to 9/11). Thus China has a double edged sword. They hit us economically in both the military and the civilian venues and leave us with no response other than a verbal slap on the wrist. Even if they end the economic attack when it begins to affect their own country, their point has been made. We have a weapon that cuts you and for which you have no retaliation. The media would fry the US government for that causing strife within our country. Hmm a familiar theme. Did I read you correctly Tom?
