OOB answer
Posted by Laura T on 2/22/2006, 9:53:07, in reply to "I love dissent"
So China invades Taiwan, of course the world would never allow us to rush in to defend them militarily. We would spend our time working with the UN to solve the problem with diplomacy. Here's my OOB response. We use Hong Kong to our advantage. HK is not happy about being part of China now. We sow their dissent and responsibility for the invasion of Taiwan. HK becomes a hot bed of rebellion and China must divert their energy and troups to dealing with HK. (Keep in mind that HK is a source of great income and also capitalistic.) Fighting the repercussions of the invasion on the home front and the world venue, China makes saving face statements but withdraws. The US and UN can claim their diplomacy worked but we know the truth.
OK please explain this INNOVATIVE education plan that you have in mind. You say the NEA will see the light and you will have to sell it to the public. How will you fight economic sanctions with education? If you raise tariffs, we'll give our kids more homework (tongue in cheek here). You have cited China as an example of a good education system. China does not provide education for all citizens. Students are repeatedly culled out and only the "best" receive the education that the government decides fits their abilities. How would you justify taking away free public education through grade 12 to the American public? Aren't we back to the whole idea of Americans valuing the individual?
Could you please eplain what you mean by "strategic plan the accounted for globalization and the limitted viability of military action on a grand scale"? It's still early here.
Hope I made you think :-)
