"Internment without trial the biggest recruiting tool the terrorists ever had". In the 90's I visited a friend in Belfast who was in a PhD program at Queens University. Her German roomate had a "boyfriend" who had been in prison for 9 years w/o trial. All of my friend's friends were Germans who sympathized with the "give Ireland back to the Irish" cause. Long story short, they certainly were entitled to their opinion but basically had no business being involved and probably woulnd't have been if not for the passion felt re: internment without trial. Now if you throw religious zealotry into the mix...We need to follow the Geneva convention to cover our own a**es.
