Temporary Archive: Suzanne Brockmann's Message Board

I was speaking to a friend the other day who was getting all sorts of comments about "happy holiday" around the jewish new year because she looks "jewish" but isn't. In fact, she was raised lutheran by people who'd never been jewish, just had dark hair and large noses. Then she mentioned her husband - his dad is very dark skinned (one might say black) and his mom is Irish (and white to the point that she really is more white than colored). He, however looks kind of like a tan guy from any background. He has people tripping all over themselves to claim kinship - arabs, blacks, whites, and even a couple asians - when they meet him for the first time. And when they ask where he comes from, he just tells the truth and says, "Connecticut." They have a lot of fun with their mistaken identities usually, but every so often *bam, right in the kisser* situations come up.
