Which sitting on this side of the fence makes me shake my head. Why would you "assume" (and all that word "implies") that they are uneducated, unable to think, strategize, create weapons and medicines. Have not numerous of the most powerful been educated in Britain, EU or USA?? For that matter, what makes you "assume" their education is less than yours. One of my classmates started at the American University in Beirut.. she had amazing grades when she transfered to our Engineering program after fleeing Lebanon. So... her education was less than ours???

That is the biggest mistake made in IMHO. The assumption that just because of where you were born, where you went to school, how you were brought up - makes you smarter and correct on all counts - than someone, who life was different than your.

Should you not "walk in their shoes" first??

Oh, and how to get out of the problem in the first place - play nice in the sandbox. Tolerance, understanding, dialogue and fair negotiation are key. The first thing I was taught in dealing with Russ and excessive behaviours is - ignore, ignore, ignore. No reaction... what's the pt of doing it.

I have a feeling this post is going to get me swatted but I've been itching to post for weeks.
