I have to shake my heads at comments like "the attack was really well coordinated" DUH!!!!!
The latest was in the US news about Charez??(the Venezuelan president) He's a threat to US policy. Why??? He lives in a little country out in the Atlantic Ocean that runs the risk of being wiped off the map by a hurricane. Why's he a risk?? He's got MONEY. Lots of gas and oil MONEY. He cannot be bought by the US gov't. He's also the "poor man's President" in Venezuala.. so getting the "masses" to kick him out is impossible. He also doesn't want to be part of an America's free trade zone and has the power and the money to sway other S.A. countries - and is. Let's not forget the fact that he plays nice with Castro.
So, instead of playing nice, working with him and through him to the other S.A. countries, and feeding his ego a little bit..... he's a "threat"????
Don't worry, we're not much better, just hide it better. They are screaming in Ont for Dr's, engineers and skilled trades. They have many new immigrants with these skills and instead of getting them quickly accredited and in the work force - they are delivery pizza's and driving taxi's. Including that girl's Father I was talking about - he's an engineer. What's wrong with this picture????? And do you not think that they don't communicate abroad to their families and tell them that the land of opportunity.. is false??
OK, end of my biggest soapbox in btwn and internal country relations. Still think they could prevent most of the current strife btwn countries with a little respect for the little guy.
Gotta get my kid on the bus and my therapist is here at 9am.
