I think that's the problem

We have too many opinions on WHAT needs to be taught. Too many variations of what is right and what is wrong, or how there isn't a distinction. So how do you teach the masses?

You have to get the masses to buy into a belief system. "We are America! We stick together! And we'll protect ourselves! We'll avenge the deaths perpetrated by our enemies!"

People bought into that right after 9/11. But over time, we started focusing on "What's best for me". Politics, business, and individual success became more important that being "ONE GROUP", being "UNITED". So how do you fight that? How do you educate under those circumstances? Where's the immediate benefit? IS there an immediate benefit? And why would someone without children care about the benefit for people 2 generations from now?
