I would also add to your list is the lack of work ethic in many people. I see it so often in my job situation. So many people want the paycheck but aren't willing to bust their butts to get the work done. And then complain that they aren't making more money. I work with quite a few people who are providing for their families on approx $8.00/hour starting wage and not a guarranteed 40 hours. However, when their poor work quality is pointed out to them ... do they change?...in many cases no. I can't tell you how many times I have heard people say that it was okay if they get fired because they can then collect unemployment. I find this so hard to understand because for me whether it is being a supervisor at a law firm, unloading a truck and stocking shelves at a retail store or doing data entry (all jobs that I have and am doing), it is my name attached to the work that I put out.
