Commands are designated

By the service Chief and vary from service to service In the Amry you have a Company Command in the Navy you are the Officer in Charge of the Platoon---so whereas the Army considered my Task Group a Command--the Navy did not--just wanted to start of by confusing you. So anyway, in the Navy, Commands are Designated by the CNO--who Commands OPNAV--the highest Command in the Navy--so, lets see-- a minor Command is a SEAL Team. About 300 people commanded by a Commander. A Major Command is a Special Warfare Group commanded by a Captain who has a staff of about 200 and Four SEAL Teams answering to him. Naval SPecial Warfare Command is a "Type" Command and is Commanded by an Admiral who again has a staff of about 200 and has Four Group Commanders answering to him. The Special Operations Command is a a Combatant or Service Command, Commanded by a FOur Star General or Admiral who has all of the Special Operations Unified Commanders answereing to him and a staff of about a thousand. Anything major or above is a large command and has several Master Chiefs. For a long time there where seven major commands in SPECWAR and the CMC's of those Commands were refferred to as the Magnificient Seven----

the issues refferred to mean everything, but particularly morale health welfare and transgressions that have to be handled but not by the Commander----in the old days that would be the a$$whooping behind the team hut :)
