Tom- your opinion on the torture issue?

I hope you don't mind my asking the question. I'm not trying to start a political argument. I'm just curious about the opinion of one who has been on the front lines, or down range, and has a lot more experience with fighting a war and trying to gain intel than most. What do you think the US policy on torture, secret prison camps, etc. should be? Any thoughts you'd care to share would be appreciated. I apologize if I'm asking a question you've previously answered.
