Who gets to decide what torture is. I mean we can list the obvious cutting of genetalia, removing of eyeballs, etc. But will the proposed law against it set provisos for what it is? Or will this become a "You cannot define pronography so everything is legal" (or in this case illegal) issue.

I'm really ambivalent about the whole thing, but before laws are placed on the books I want to know that explicit ideas are also issued forth. Things allowed in this country are not allwoed in others and vice versa but what I tend to see is that the most lenient of laws in other places are the ones to be revered and I don't necessarily believe that is the way to go either.
