Listen to it on tape and you will be hooked for life. The narrator, Davina Porter, is outstanding: men, women, aristocrats, peasants, Scottish, English, American - every dialect you can imagine and every character has a distinctive voice. I'm prejudiced but I have read/listened to it umpteen times ... Janet
