What is it with the Brits in the Gulf?

Are they all big partyers there? When my dh went to Abu Dhabi shortly after 9/11 I was concerned. He always calls when arrives at his destination so I was waiting eagerly to hear from him. He called and said "I'm here but I'm in so much pain." Worried, I asked what happened. He said "The British guys took us out on the Persian Gulf on a yacht and I am so sunburned." Sympathy factor 0 from me. LOL The king of Bahrain was staying at his hotel and my dh said his guards were impressive. Are the Brits partyers everywhere or just in the Gulf?
