Yes I agree your assumption is probably true.

But sometimes you have to think it our way. You have a job, get married, have children and for whatever reason.... stay home. Have you any idea how hard it is to view what you do at home as equivalent as to when you brought in $$$ working outside the home. My husband finally banned me from doing anything but clean up the supper dishes - he does bathtime - after supper. B/c I was making myself ill.

Then I tried to be Super Mom - super house/yard keeper, gardener and therapist.... That caused my bp to do loops, when I gave them up for the summer. The weeds.... are HUGE!!!! But my bp's down again.

But at the same time.... it's a b****ch to get over the programming you've been given since the beginning of time :) Try growing up with a Mom who did exactly what I just mentioned above. If she was working - every day (in and out of the house) - you got nagged to do exactly the same - mega guilt. To this day I honestly cannot fold towels inside out. Not joking - bet you didn't even know there was a right or wrong way to do it.

I'm learning.... and at 35 am starting to do more for me. Hence a holiday to Boston in a mth. Kidless and hubbyless. And weeds in the garden. Starting to enjoy "me" too.

PS. Now that she's retired.... Mom's learning too :)
