No Bias

...on my part, just facts based on Arabs I know and respect…some married into my family. They themselves have stated they won't do business with other Arabs because they can't be trusted. They still have a tribal mentality, not one of a unified country.

I wonder what people's reactions would be if the TSA was now run by a Yemen-based company. Maybe they didn't fund the attack on the U.S. Cole, but would you want them handling your airline security?

I'm not thrilled with the idea of a company based in China handling port security on the West Coast either, but it's happening. Should we allow a Mexican-based company handle border security, as well?

At one time this country did not allow foreign enterprises to own or control certain percentages of the media. I honestly don’t know how drastically that’s changed in the last 50 yrs, but the concerns were valid at their inception.

I’ll accept the Brits, though I’d still prefer it to be U.S. based, purely from an economic standpoint and the support of a U.S. company. However, they’ve proven to be a staunch ally, and the Anglican Church has not endorsed global terrorist activities. If it had to be awarded to an outsider, I welcome the British-based company– even if the security is in the Boston Harbor. (g)
