But can't you argue that China is doing jsut that? The individuals of China are not going to last but their STATE will (to the hope of the STATE). So instead of focusing their power and resources on the people, who are all going to die anyway, they are focusing them on the future, which is their STATE.

I heard once the definition of integrity is doing something right even if you know it will hurt you. Well if your moral compass is warped, then you can hurt yourself (willingly give up rights, or take away rights even from yourself) while keeping your eye on the "good" of the country.

And I'd argue that in the mind of communists, they think America is a Me vs. All mentality where we are in the wrong.
