Yep Begin was considered a terrorist by the British government post WW2.Of course the hanging of three British Military Policemem and the bombing of the King David Hotel used by the British Military sort of influenced public opinion against Begin and the Stern Gang here in the UK.

Personally I am always very wary of the erosion of peoples rights sort of the slippery slope. The Nazis after all justified their treatment of oppenents on grounds of national security. The one thing I have learned from speaking to my son and brother who both have served in Iraq is that things are never a simple as we at home believe.
