I have an ex-boyfriend out there somewhere who singlehandedly cancelled his NROTC unit's "Dining Ins" for 3 years. He went to the grog bowl a few too many times, and being at a somewhat 'conservative christian' university started 'defending judaism' or some such just to be contrary (that's really the most polite way I could put it). The evening ended with him proving he was not Jewish, himself, by removing some bits of uniform and asking a senior officer, "does this look Jewish to you?" End of Dining In for his tenure.
(Really, if you're a Jew, this is NOT meant to be offensive, I'm totally sorry if it comes out that way. This guy just liked to pretend to be different from others so he could point out how narrowminded they were in the way that most entertained him.)
