Peace Corps Volunteers serve in 72 countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Volunteers work in areas like education, youth outreach and community development, the environment,information technology and business, health, HIV/Aids awareness & prevention.
3 Goals of Peace Corps
1. To help the people of interested countries in meeting their needs for trained men and women.
2. To promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served.
3. And to promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of all Americans.

Crisis Corps
Internationally, more than 600 Returned Peace Corps Volunteers have taken the opportunity to use their invaluable skills and experience to address ongoing community needs in 40 different countries since the inception of Crisis Corps in 1996. Crisis Corps Volunteers work on short term projects, utilizing the skills they learned as Peace Corps Volunteers and in post service careers.
They even sent several hundred volunteers to help in the aftermath of Katrina.
