would be that:
just as after 9/11....policy could be changed again/and probably swiftly and without much thought (Unpatriot act) ...conceivably....(just a suspostion/example) now Air Marshals could be required to have a visual of a suspicious apparatus before they are allowed to use deadly force.....which, with a few more days like today could either lead to lack in deligence or an over reaction to the wires visible sticking out of something as innocent as a Walkman....
Just like Tom's mustache scissors....for crying out loud (rolling eyes) If Tom wanted to highjack a plane....I am sure he could do it with a lot less than a pair of mustache scissors.....Now would I want to be on the plane if Tom decided to highjack it NOPE....because I am pretty sure if he wanted to he would do it....there are any number of things ON the plane to use as a weapon.....but turn it around and if Tom were on the plane with me while it was being highjacked (or someone said they had a bomb) then YOU BETCHA....I want to sit right beside him....and I want my kids on the other side of him:) BECAUSE....he has been trained (as I would hope the Air Marshal's have) to observe the behavior of the person/the situation/the potential threat...is the threat viable/what is the most expedient and safest way to stop the threat and use the information gathered to make a decision....
But I digress....oh yeah...of course it will benefit terrorists....One innocent person has been killed JUST by saying I have a bomb so if I were a terrorist...In the next several years (WTC first bombing and second bombing YEARS apart)....I would stage many such incidents...I would send out my suicide "bombers" as bait...let them all be clean of bombs....Then when the native populace was so disqusted with the killings that they insist that it stop....I would step in and have at least 20 REAL suicide bombers walk into Terminals across the USA and set the bombs off in tandem......Hitting 20 (big) cities at one time is going to cause even more devastation than 9/11 because of the many DIFFERENT Ground Zeros....Heck hitting JFK and LAX at the same time could do some serious damage for months to come...
