-what has made you question their way of doing things? No negativity---that comment was out of context--it was meant as a means to show that I believe that being a leader is about selflessness not self-promotion. I don't question any of what we do below the rank of Catpain :)

2- You have mentioned before your one big regret is not making Cmdr. Do you think your leadership style, or possibly an inability to superimpose or camoflauge your leadership style beliefs, without compromising the "gist" of it in a way that was more palatible for the higher ups played a part in it ? I don't believe that I have said my one big regret is not making Cmdr--if I did, I take it back and apologize. I do regret that the system was unable to promote me and that I was unable to get the system to see the value that my unique skill set brought to the officer corp--but I did my best. But you are correct that my inability to tow an incorrect party line was not appreciated by some of my seniors--it was greatly appreciated by others--but, unfortunetly the way the system works, one down check obliverates ten up checks.
