As the resident expert on all things SEAL, I'll probably bombard you a little (OK, a lot) with a bunch of random questions. (I'm hoping to finish up some research by the end of the year. So, forewarned is forearmed blah blah blah.) If you would prefer to point me elsewhere, please feel free, but in the meantime, here goes:
Life after SEAL: what are the typical professions afterwards? What percentage would you say go into leadership/management positions? what percentage go into miltary-related training positions? law enforcement? regular civilian jobs? consulting?
what is the profile (professionally and personality-wise)of someone who goes on to leadership training?
typical length of time as a SEAL? i think I read somewhere that it's about ten years? could you clarify?
What's your opinion of leadership training as a SEAL vs. Navy vs. any other military branch/division? Any one over the other? and why?
What are the main differences in military vs. non-military leadership training?
It looks like there are formal training programs on leadership. Is there one considered THE best?
Can you point me towards any good military-based leadership books?
Any other insight on military leadership you want to share?
Thank you in advance,
Mic
