My Dad was farm defered

during WW2 Pops was farm defered, he took over the farming for his father who died in 1939. My oldest brother was 4F during the Vietnam war and my youngest brother was not of age when that war ended but my mother's brother was in the Army in 1943 and served in the Pacific therater and went on to Japan at the end of the war for reconstruction.

Dh's Papa was in the Navy during WW2 and was at D-day and landed on Omaha beach. He never said too much about his service but he gave Dh his St. Christopher medal when Dh went into the navy in 1966 because he said that it protected him during WW2. Pa had buddies that were blown to pieces to the left and right of him when they landed on the beach but he was never shot which is a small miracle.

Dh was in Vietnam during the Tet offensive and later when his Marine brother came to Vietnam dh was stationed in Rota Spain. (at the time there could not be 2 family memebers in the same theater of war)

Alex (son) was in the Navy stationed in Japan for 4 years and youngest daughter and her dh are in the airforce stationed in Japan right now.
Dh's dad was in the Army stationed in Japan for 4 years in the early 1950's

Japan seems to be a re occuring theme for my family...
