that always freaked me out was being stuck in traffic under an old overpass. I just knew that if an earthquake hit then, I was toast. And it was just understood, that if there was a light on one side of the overpass, you didn't wait for it UNDERNEATH the overpass, you waited on the other side. It wasn't fear, it was common sense. No reason to cross fingers if you don't have to. ;)
