and it(the media) is so broken in this country. I was shocked when a journalist actually pointed out in the media's defense that they did their job, that the story about the dams in New Orleans was covered several times before Katrina. I was like ,but we knew what Martha Stewart, Michael Jackson was doing everyday ,45 times a day .I think the media has it so wrong ,we really don't want to hear ad nauseam about most of the stories they do over and over and over.... The first time I remember hearing about the Taliban was on the tonight show. Jay Leno was talking about his wife's work for women's rights around the world. I watch a lot of news, read magazines ,and found it ridiculous that I had to hear about them from Jay. I do have to chuckle at France's response to the media coverage of the riots. France is saying that the media isn't accurately covering the events... well welcome to our world :)
