As for "it's crazy....to sacrifice" nope totally disagree...........I am so far below poverty level I will never see the lip of the pit...........would I change one minute of the time I spent in school getting my degrees? ABSOLUTLY NOT!!!!!! Would I change on minute I spent in the last 16 years I spent in the shelter???? NO NO NO>>>>>>>.. It is a wag the dog effect........I am at the nose of the dog and I have the knowledge of what to say/how to say/what to do and when to do it........In other words...........I can tell woman "A" these are your options.....she chooses....then when she chooses....she is wagging the dog too...for better or worse.........she may be making her children's lives better or worse....but I am the one with the knowledge and I am the one she is coming to, to find out what she needs to do..........I have actually help changed 1000's of lives, DIRECTLY, sure, some for the better some not.......but from those 1000's of direct changes I have also, wagged the children of these women, I have wagged their grandchildren etc.....What I do is having a trickle down effect........I don't get to see its effect very often but when I do it is almost always a postive change.........so yes, I THINK IT IS WORTH THE SACRIFCE OF LIVING BELOW POVERTY LEVEL...AND in the long run I am actually saving tax payers...millions in monies used in assistance programs.......SO THE SACRIFICE IS worth it..........not only to me, but to the woman, and to you also>
