not so solly day---I had almost gotten it out of my mind-----
SO Solly day (no political corrected to so sorry day was really just one evolution during hellweek. It was about 4 hours long as I remeber and held at the mudpit. Basically, it was a lot of crawling in the mud while totally choked with smole grenades. A lot of artillery and grenade simillaters going of---a rope bridge to get knocked of off--each explosion or person falling from the rope bridge was followed with a "So Solly'---which apparently a veteran of the Pacific campaing brought back with him after WWII
