There are several droms on campus that have no air conditioning. They are all-male dorms, but my husband was assigned there and lived in these sweat boxes and HAD TO PAY FOR THE PRIVELEGE!

Well hell, if I knew this was tortture I would have sued them years ago and become a multi-millionaire!

No A/C with a small window and no cross-draft is inconvenient and uncomfortable but I don't think it's torture.
