With the demonstration of total ineptitude displayed by our (U.S.)federal agencies with Katrina, we are very skeptical about the federal ability to organize anything. I think what Katrina pointed out to many Americans was the need for us to become more self-reliant and not to depend on any federal agency for timely help. America has a document called "The Bill of Rights' in our Constitution; written guarantees of individual rights, that are under attack in this law called, offensively enough, 'The Patriot Act' believe me there is nothing patriotic about it. When President Bush said two days ago that our military might be needed to enforce public health quarantines. It raised some very big questions.
