You don't want a SEAL team member who is looking out for himself before he looks out for the team.
There is a BIG TEAM concept in athletics (athough obviously not near the degree of SEAL teams). Even when I competed in track which is individual events, the coaches drummed into us not to let the whole team down. DO you have any idea if there many SEALs were active in sports growing up that they could then transfer this mentality over into training, and if it in any respect helps them depend on others.
