...look visually stunning, ie. shots of burning oil fields - black sky against white sand, commanders shouting speeches in the manner of televangelists, and closeups of Jake Gyllenhaal progressively losing it in the desert heat. There's a contrast of the glamour & hype they feel at first, going to kick ass and take names, and then the reality of the war, which looks sort of like Bosch's depiction of hell.
The preview was good enough for me to pick up the book at the library when I spotted it yesterday.
