I used to work for the state agency that credentialed ancillary health care professionals (not doctors or nurses). The massage therapists were thinking about requiring state credentialling, and my agency was the one to talk to them about the process. It never happened, but if it had gone forward, we were going to insist on an in-house hands-on practicum portion of the test. :-)
