How does this coincide with your previous statements about a national strategy that at a minimum "respects and perhaps embodies those critical and vital virtues" of our forefathers? How can we have a nation of laws instead of beliefs and still support the premise of needing to re-emphasize the principles, and various virtues of our forefathers to bring those fundamental beliefs back to the people? Are we a nation driven by laws? or a nation driven by principles?
And before people start freaking about my post, religious beliefs aren't the only beliefs. There are many beliefs that drive people to do the right thing, to be fair, honest and just. Why forget those?
