I remember when it came up.. don't remember who said it first.. but it was strange.. like it didn't really matter... it was there.
It was also strange that the whole relationship just kind of worked its way from dating, to moving in, to marriage, to kids.... with very little formal sit down, talk it through planning. Almost like it was just something that was going to happen from the very first date.
Not that he's an easy man to live with. Cause he's not. Regularly I think that shipping him out to the cows for the night would be a good idea :) Romance.... doesn't exist... BUT he does tuck me into bed (MOOG!!!) EVERY night. It's his little ritual, and he's done it since the first night I stayed at his appt. Not that I complain :)
But, there's been no games played. We were both at that place in time that we were both done with that nor would accept it from the other person.
So, even without the words, I've NEVER doubted, (except for a few long mths when his wrist was broken) that my marriage would disintegrate, that he wasn't totally loyal, nor that he didn't love me.
And if he hurries up and gets back from checking his barns we're going to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine. The weather is going from 28C (80F) to 15C (65F) over Thursday... the cold will be in Fri morning. Summer will be over - unless it warms up again :)
