Seasick

Posted by Erika on 10/3/2005, 17:25:27, in reply to "Tom what do you think about kids diving"
I didn't have a problem with transdermal scopalomine on one short, shallow dive. I did have to drink my usual 80-100oz of water/day or my mouth would feel dry, but I do drink that much water, so it wasn't an issue for me - I just got thirsty faster.

I got the TDscop for being on a boat as when I did boat dives in curacao, I got really nauseated while hanging around at the top of the water waiting to get into the boat, or sitting in the boat waiting for people to board. I didn't get sick in a couple instances of diving in heavy surf/surge, but mostly, once I got down to depth, I wasn't diving anywhere with super strong currents and I had no problem at all with being ill. But if I was bobbing up and down within 10 feet of the surface, it was a near thing.

Does anyone have any home cures for fixing motion sickness? I never had it even a little before I got mono in college, and now I get sick over boat motions, and some cars, even as I'm enjoying the pleasant rocking motion - the two (motion & sick) were never coupled in my head. I really miss not being motion sick.
