If (and that is a big IF) I'm remembering correctly the pattern from past books. Jenks, is usually in or around officers and senior chief. I think he is some sort of administrative assistant. He always knows what's going on, like when Jules was shot and Alyssa shot in arm. He was the one who told the guys about the FBI op in San Diego and the agents being shot. I think he was also the one who told they had gotten a message about his mom falling too.
