Okay, here goes. Actually while I don't know about the armed part (or the MIA part) I do know the Navy has trained dolphins for other things-underwater mine detection being the one I've encounted most often. The dolphins have cameras mounted to a headgear that sends images helping check the undersides of ships for explosives as well as suspect waterways. These dolphins are extremely well treated and cared for.
I've never heard or seen anything as silly as mounting them with weapons but I don't doubt some bozo thought of it.
If Tom ever talk to us again he might be able to add more as a one time EOD man.
