in my leadership lectures--I qualify a leader as having to be actin in a manner that a reasonable person would deem in the long term best interest of his followers--this eliminates people like Hitler--Napolean etc Those who fought for communism in the SU did an enormous good for themselves for years---compared to what they had under Czarist Russia---sure they got beat but--given where they started it was as good a shot as any
