THe military is diverse

I think the stereotype is largely wrong. The military is much more diverse and a lot more educated than in the past. The biggest problem that I have had is with assumptions because of the stereotype. There were a lot of pretty offensive emails going around during the invasion portion of the—purportedly from a Marine but clearly written by some whack job no where near Iraq (they’ll really pay when the snipers get here—snipers get there first moron) But anyway, they were full of bile and in one it said, “And send some Democrats over, we’ll shoot them too.” I get this thing sent to me by a guy in Newport, RI who thinks it is funny---I Replied to all and just tore him up—shooting fellow Americans—anyway---I digress. The amount of education in SOF makes us pretty able to think logically and reason. Our training to look at problems differently almost always bring up diverse concepts—so were are pretty us to different ideas. I can’t say that I have never had problems, but the only real problems I’ve had are around religion, and never severe
