I've kayaked it twice in the summer. It is fantastic!! The water is cool even with a wet suit on, but clean enough to reach your hand in and drink out of. That is so rare these days.
We jumped out of our boats and swam in the lake and beached in somebody's back yard. They came out and chatted with us for a while. I guess they get lots of visitors. LOL
The scenery is breath taking. We even kayaked out to Fannett Island to see the Canadian Snow Geese and their chicks in their nests. The "Tea House" was really cool to sit in too.
I'd recommend it as a "must do" if you're ever going to take the trip again.
