I think the answers to your first two questions, Andrea, could be parents & teachers teaching the children now.
People tend to think that there is a short term solution with an election or a war decision, but no short term solution decisions will work for the long term. And the perfect solution would never be accepted now because there are too many people who don't believe it will work, or just flat out don't agree.
If we can teach our children to understand and learn how to prosper peace, then when they are old enough to make a difference either in the public eye or through votes, they can. Where's the long term plan? Where's the plan that defines peace when our grandchildren are having babies? Because if that doesn't get done now, what are we teaching the young? That we either go to war or we don't go to war, but, "if they don't ask for your ticket at the carnival, don't drop it in the box...put it back in your pocket." Are we really addressing the right issues?
Just trying to be realistic. I really don't want my post to turn into a controversy, I just wanted to share my opinion.
