war on drugs was, is and will be stupid--even when I was doing it. I remember tlaking to a Columbian Captain we had just trained. I said, "So will this help you?" He was like "I'm not going to do any of this. No one in the village has been murdered, no one's wife has been dragged away and raped, no bombs have gone off. I mean, I am sorry that you have kids snorting cocaine in LA, but everything down here is going just fine." Really put it inot perspective. Anyway, I just don't see the big deal with most of it and certainly think the answer lies in education not legislation. Unfortunetly more little boys want to grow up to be cops than teachers. But I just tell the boys that "in today's environment(oppressive) the risk and longterm effects are just too great to mess with it. Now put that down and come over here and have some scotch with yer old man "
