I've been reading the posts and have come up with my own mental picture of Tom. He reminds me so much of Tuffy 1978-2000. My family's big ginger-colored tomcat. Tuff was fairly laid back about life. Pretty even tempered but could handle himself around pucshy little dogs and like inspecting diapers and letting us know by backing away from a toxic waste dump.
