HE WILL KILL HER! she knows that...she knows what is keeping her the safest....I know that sounds strange...but once he gets out...he is going to be even more Pissed....the less she has to do with the system and "putting" him in jail...the better....he will still blame her...but sometimes battered women can get away with the answer "the cops did it not me" and btw, she shouldn't have to testify and the cops know that...tsk tsk...bad on them....Where is she....what state....does she need information on the program/shelter nearest to her?
