Like your one and two---3--never a reason to do that--self defense is a good thing to know and will help you but only tangently--being knowledgeable in fighting and being able to fight are two different things

it is correct, never allow yourself to be taken from the initial point of attack--fight like a dead woman because you are the moment you leave that spot

Last line is the best--relax and think--even if terrible things are happening to you--think---seek an oppurtunity and seize it. It is NOT a kick in the nuts (you all know how small a target the average package is)it is not an eye scratch--it is your fury to live
