I'm reading Dick Couch's new book,
Down Range : Navy SEALs in the War on Terrorism
and it's amazing or rather you guys are truly amazing!
However, in the book he talks about it being 3 years of training from BUDS until a guy is considered an operator, and Chuck Pfarrer had metioned it took 2 years from BUDS and subsequent training for a guy to be considered an operator-
Soooo being me, I Googled the training cycle, but it looks as if you go from BUDS to Fort Benning to SQT and then the new guys report to a team and are deployed. Which is what 6 months, plus 3 weeks plus 15 weeks so that's maybe 10 months and then what ...?
So would you please clarify the process- thank you
